Jesse’s career in construction started early—at just 16 years old—as an equipment operator. From there, she built a decade of hands-on experience across heavy civil, oil and gas, logging, and ultimately pipeline services, where she truly found her stride. She ran a wide range of equipment but always shined brightest on a dozer.

Jesse began her career in the field and finished it as a proud IUOE and CLAC member, carrying with her the real-world knowledge that only comes from years on active job sites helping build Canada’s infrastructure.

When Jesse became pregnant, she knew working away from home long-term wouldn’t be sustainable. Instead of stepping away from the industry she loved, she leaned into a new goal—bringing practical, field-tested solutions to the safety world. She continued operating as a dozer hand until 36 weeks pregnant and welcomed her son, Jayton, just a couple of weeks later.

In September 2023, Jesse founded Mirror J Safety Solutions Ltd. Since then, she has been delivering health and safety management systems, safety compliance support, and on-site services to construction companies across Alberta. Her work spans everything from owner-operator operations to large fleets employing truck drivers and heavy equipment operators.

Jesse earned her National Construction Safety Officer designation through the Alberta Construction Safety Association, further strengthening the expertise she brings to every project.

With 10 years of frontline experience behind her, Jesse understands job sites from the inside out—and that perspective drives everything she does today in safety.
